How do you change a pressure switch on a GE washer?

If your GE washer is not draining properly, it may be because of a pressure switch. A pressure switch is a safety device that helps keep the washer from overloading and potentially injuring the operators. To change the pressure switch, first remove the bottom panel of the washer. There are four screws that hold the panel in place. Once the panel is removed, you will see the pressure switch sitting on top of the washer. To change the switch, first remove the old switch by unscrewing it. Make sure to keep the screws in the new switch so that it will fit properly when you replace it. Next, remove the old switch and replace it with the new one. Tighten the screws in the new switch. Be sure to test the washer before you finish to make sure the switch was replaced correctly.
